There is most likely rotting food trapped in your system if you eat a traditional diet. That sounds pretty extreme but it`s not meant to shock. There`s actually truth to that fact, as the colon tends to hold onto processed foods and they get stuck there. If not eliminated quickly, they stay there and rot.

Meat needs to be refrigerated or frozen, for example. If it`s left in your colon for several days, it will naturally rot as your body is definitely not a refrigerated unit. So how can you eliminate this problem? There is a diet that you can partake that will allow the food to move naturally through your system and be gone before it has a chance to become rotten food.

A raw foods diet contains only foods that are cooked to less than 116 degrees. The majority of the foods you would eat on this diet are not cooked at all. There is a comfort food factor that most people can`t give up for emotional reasons, thus the soups and other lightly cooked items that you can eat if you need something cooked.
